What's New with The Ultimate Tree?
What's new for 2012?
The Ultimate Tree is up and running for 2012. Every routine for every song has been tweaked and improved. And a new song has been added this year - The Little Drummer Boy. We hope you like it.
In 2013 we are going to move the display to a new location (close by) that will better handle the traffic flow. The Ultimate Tree is no longer a "well kept secret" and we want to expose it to as many people as possible. And, at the same time there are big plans to expand the display to be bigger and bolder than it is now. We are talking with some possible locations now, but if you have an idea please send me an email.
What's new for 2009?
The 2009 Christmas Season brought several new display changes. We added a 7-foot LED wreath, and eight little Christmas trees. The wreath was a good complement to the giant tree!

This picture of the 2009 display shows the Ultimate Tree, House Pixels, Wall Washers and Wreath.

What's new for 2008?
The 2008 videos are now available and are also posted on YouTube. See The Ultimate Tree Videos.
In 2008 the house was outlined in pixels much like those on the tree. Each pixel can be individually controlled to be any one of 16.7 million colors. Many of the house patterns reflect or complement what's going on with the tree.

This is a closeup of the LED pixels that line the roofline. The pixels and electronics are protected (kept dry) by a clear plastic tube.
|
|

The tubes were all assembled and tested in the off-months the warm, dry basement :)
|
|

Inside each tube is 10 pixels, a power supply, and the electronics to drive the pixels.

HGTV featured the Ultimate Tree in its holiday special "All Out
Christmas". You can see a clip of this special at The Ultimate Tree Videos.
