Listen to the Music in your Car
 The Christmas music for the show is broadcast on a low-power FM transmitter
on 98.5 MHz. This allows people to stay in their warm car and listen to the music while
watching the holiday light show.

Show Information
The show consists of twelve traditional Christmas songs arranged specifically
for synchronizing lights to music. Both the Ultimate Tree and the other tree and
house lights are synchronized to the music.
My good friends Mark Thies and Monique
Danielle created this music locally at Markosa studios featuring hi-res digital
recording equipment.
The songs first debuted at the premier of City Lights when Downtown Kansas
City "re-lit" the re-emerging downtown landscape. Later the songs were
released on CD and are available locally and on-line. Click the CD picture
to find locations where you can buy the CD.
Christmas With Monique
What's unique about these Christmas songs is that each one also has a corresponding
MIDI file that describes every note in the song and allows the lights to be
synchronized down to 1/100th of a second.
The show consists of 12 traditional Christmas Songs:

- It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas
- Winter Wonderland
All the songs are quite impressive, but the two where Monique really shines
through are "Carol of the Bells" and "My Favorite Things".
Software
The software used to synchronize the lights to the music is called Animation
Director from Animated Lighting.
It allows precise control of lighting effects perfectly synchronized down to
1/100th of a second.

of "Breath of Heaven" and the traditional "Silver Bells".
